One of the most expensive paintings in the world, valued at $300 million, is the work “When Will You Marry?” by artist Paul Gauguin, painted by him in Tahiti in 1892. The painting was previously owned by the Schtehlin family and has toured various museums. However, it has recently come to rest in the museum department of Qatar, which happened to acquire it for such a sum.
