The seventh installment in the Transformers film series, “Rise of the Beast,” directed by Steven Caple Jr. (“Creed II”), serves as both a continuation of “Bumblebee” (2018) and the start of a new trilogy within the Transformers universe. It’s a reboot and expansion of the Transformers story, paying homage to the 1990s animated series “Beast Wars.” The film features Michelle Yeoh, Pete Davidson, Peter Dinklage, and Ron Perlman.
The movie is set in 1994 and follows two archaeologists who inadvertently get caught up in a conflict involving an ancient civilization that gave rise to Maximals, including Optimus Prime; Predacons, capable of transforming into animals; and Terrorcons, who transform into horrifying monsters.
It’s a classic action-packed blockbuster with no surprises or unexpected twists. The film boasts impressive visuals and spectacular battles. In short, fans of CGI graphics and those looking for some mindless entertainment will enjoy it. However, if you’re seeking an intriguing plot, storytelling depth, or profound drama, this might not be the film for you.
